The Word is in German

is = ist

The German verb: sein (to be) is very important.

Today I want to cover the word: ist (is) which is a form of „to be“. We usually use it with singular nouns or with the personal pronouns ersiees.

How to conjugate the word ’sein‘

sein (to be)

ich bin (I am)
du bist (you are)
er ist (he is)
sie ist (she is)
es ist (it is)

You can use it just like the English word ‚is‘ just add the letter ‚t‘ (is = ist).
