The one thing to do every day to become fluent in German

Find time to study German - Learn German Easily

Here is the 7th part of the email course.

You have completed the challenge, and I would like to congratulate you for that.

I am very proud of you!

So what is the one thing you need to do everyday to be fluent in German?

Rule No 7

Find time to study German
every day!

Let’s go back to why you started learning German…

What would moving to Germany and being able to speak their language mean for you?

How would it feel to pass that qualification exam?

How impressive would it be to hold a conversation like you’ve always wanted?

Then you need to understand this…

The best methods, techniques and materials won’t help you if you don’t find time to practice German

For that to be effective, you have two options:

  • Option A:
Create a study plan (German learning schedule)
  • Option B:
Use learning material that you can integrate into your daily life

Option A:

Create a study plan (German learning schedule).

If you study German with other methods then you definitely need a study plan.

You will need to become more organized, especially if you study on your own.

If you don’t create and follow a strict study plan you will study less and will end up getting side-tracked by other things.

A goal without a plan is just a wish!

Option B:

Use Learning material that you can integrate into your everyday life.

Even if you aren’t a busy person, it may still be difficult to create a strict study plan and stick to it.

In this case, if you practice with learning material that you can integrate into your everyday life then you don’t need a study plan.

This is what I mean:

Most of my students use their mobile phones to practice with my audio stories 15 minutes on their way to work/school, and 15 minutes before they go to sleep.

For them, it becomes a daily routine and they don’t need a German study plan.

Others like to play the mp3 files as they cook and then answer the questions in the process.

This can be very effective especially if you are alone in the kitchen.

So regardless of whether you use option A or option B, you should find time to study German every day.

Now you have it!

You have just finished Rule No 7 and reached the end of the challenge.

If you have read everything about the 7 rules carefully then you have the knowledge and the tools to speak German fluently in less than 1 year!

I want to thank you for your kind attention and if you have any questions please don’t hesitate to contact me.

You know my email address.

If you would like to practice with my stories and packages, you can check out my online store.

Tip: Download the audio story using a computer, as mobile devices often cannot unzip zip files.

Download the zip file and copy the mp3 and pdf files out of the zip file (you can open it like a folder), afterwards you can print out the pdf file or load the files on your tablet, mobile phone, iPod, etc.

A note for advanced students:

This is a simple story to get you acquainted with my method. The stories and lessons in my learning packages increase in difficulty and after practicing with all of them you will be able to speak German fluently.

Here is the script:

>>> Script in GER/ENG (PDF)

Here are the audio files:

Nach der Schule

Nach der Schule (slower)

Nach der Schule (POV)

Nach der Schule (POV) slower

Nach der Schule (QAP)

Nach der Schule (QAP) slower

Here is your task for the next couple of days:

Read and listen to the mini story (Nach der Schule) many times. Read the whole script carefully (pdf file) and also listen to the story (mp3 files).

Read and listen to the story at least 10 minutes every day for the next 7 days! You will be surprised how much you will learn with just one little story. Try it! You will be fascinated because every time you will understand more!
