Note: Today I would like to introduce you to one of my TPRS Vocabulary Lessons. I have created 76 lessons of this kind.

They start with basic words and take you to a higher level step by step.

How to learn with part A

  1. Read and listen a few times.
  2. Repeat after the speaker.
  3. Make sure that you imitate the pronunciation of the speaker.
  4. After a few repetitions go on to part B (farther below).

Wie hoch ist der höchste Berg der Welt? Ich würde sagen, höher als alle anderen. ⛰️ How high is the highest mountain

Eine Krankenschwester 👩‍⚕️ ist jemand, der dich wach macht, um dir Schlaftabletten 💊 zu geben. A nurse is someone, who wakes you up to give you sleeping pills.

Question and Answer Part (Exercise B)

How to learn with part B

  1. Read and listen a few times to the questions and answers.
  2. Answer the questions in the pauses (you may look also at the answers).
  3. After a few times don’t look at the answers anymore.
  4. Make sure that you imitate the pronunciation of my voice.
  5. Repeat the lesson until you can answer the questions easily.

 

Tip: Please don’t think that this part is too difficult.

If you are able to understand the first part of this lesson above then you will be able to master the question and answer part of this lesson after a few repetitions.

Long Answer:

Die sitzt in der Mausefalle (in the mousetrap).

Fängt der späte Vogel den Wurm?

Nein, nicht der späte Vogel.
Nicht der späte Vogel fängt den Wurm.
Der frühe Vogel fängt den Wurm.

Wie tief ist das tiefste Tal (deepest valley) der Welt?

Ich würde sagen, tiefer als (deeper than) alle anderen.

Wer ist hier blöd?

Niemand (nobody).
Niemand ist hier blöd.
Hier sind alle schlau (smart, clever)!

Wer macht dich wach, um dir Schlaftabletten zu geben?

Krankenschwestern
Krankenschwestern machen dich wach, nur um dir Schlaftabletten zu geben.
Sie wecken dich extra auf, nur um dir Schlaftabletten zu geben.
Damit du auch schön schlafen kannst.
